Why get a spray-on tan?
Many people simply don't have the time to bake in the sun to achieve a dark tan. Spray-on tanning delivers a natual looking tan without the harmful effects of the sun or the tanning bed!
Is spray tanning safe?
YES! DHA has been used in the cosmetic industry for almost 30 years. In the 1970's, the FDA added DHA to its lists of safe cosmetic ingrediants. It is declared safe and suitable for use in cosmetics and drugs used to color the skin. DHA is derived from glycerin (vegetable origin), which is commonly used as a cosmetic and food ingrediant. DHA is not absorbed into the body and poses no possibility of toxicity. However, if you are pregnant or nursing you should check with your doctor prior to booking a tanning appointment.
How long will my "tan" last?
Just as every person is different, ever skin type is different. Once your "tan" is applied, with moderate care, it should last between 7 to 10 days, depending on your activities and skin type, just like a natural tan. If a natural tan will fade from your skin in four days, it is reasonable to expect your sunless tan will fade in equal time. Each person's skin type is different, so fading times and patterns will be different. Instructions will be given to you at the end of your session to provide you with guidelines on how to maintain your tan as long as possible.
What if my tan "rubs" off?
We typically use a solution that has a built in cosmetic bronzer. This is colored additive that allows us to see exactly where the solution is being sprayed initially. When you are able to shower, some of this cosmetic bronzer will come off. YOU WILL STILL BE TAN! Be sure to check your tan line to confirm this before you panic and don't see the tan.
